Stand Up
Every morning, we gather and tell each other stories. We call it a Stand-Up, not just because it’s meant to be quick enough to remain on our feet, but because it’s a moment when we stand together as a team. Product teams everywhere do it—a routine check-in where, ideally, three questions are silently understood. After the first day or two, no one even bothers to ask them aloud. “What did you do yesterday?” “What are you doing today?” “Anything in your way?” By the end of the week, everyone’s found their spot in the answering queue, like picking the same seat in class day after day until the semester ends.
